Another Update

hello everyone i apologize for getting back to you all so late with an update on my rehab and recovery stage but im here now and will tell you a little bit of what i have been going through. my recovery felt like it was moving in so motion honestly. i stayed in the hospital due to a medical issue i have but i went home the following evening....boy was i in pain lol but it wasnt as bad as people think. i stayed on crutches for a while due to the people at my school, they really dont care much for people thats hurt so i didnt want to get knocked over...anyways i started rehab after about 2 weeks because my doctor wanted some of the swellen to go down. now i had the acl surgery where they take a piece of my hamstring and connect to two torn ends of my acl back together so im recoverying rearing fast compared to most and besides i have athlete legs so my muscle is building back quicker as well...right now im able to run, jump, and do defensive slides a little bit. my mom is very proud of me because most people thought due to my school team losing state, due to me not being able to participate in any basketball game for almost 5 months, due to not participating in summer games, etc i would have low self-esteem and not push myself because of depression...well im hear to say all those thing above were and still are encouragements for me to become a better player, a better person, a better MARIAH SADE' CHANDLER then i was last summer, last school year....I AM Mariah Sade' Chandler. the one who is conquering God's trials, the one who is still standing after all the things that have been brought into the light all in my junior year...therefore, in closing, i want to thank all the people that have been keeping me and every other player with an injury in their prayers...God will bless those who show concern and love for others...be ready to see me sitting with my aau team Peach State Elite this summer cheering my fellow teammates on showing my leadership skills off the court...thank you all again and be bless

Wassup Mariah? I admire you

Wassup Mariah? I admire you so much for being so strong through all of this instead of feeling sorry for yourself. You are remaining optimistic and very positive about everything that is going on right now and that is awesome. I pray that you will come back stronger than before, because God is just testing you right now. Trust me when I say after your storm the sun will surely shine bright on you because you trully are a star babygirl...

hey

Thank you...i really appreciate your prayers and you are absolutely right. Once the storm is over, Mariah Chandler will shine again as a new person...smart on and off the court about the game. This journey has been a great one i must say because i learned alot about myself and the people that i associate with. For instance, if a person is truly there for me and not for what i am able to do in the future whether i make money playing basketball or whatever, then i know thats someone to hang on to. However, the ones that are always putting me down telling me colleges are going to pursue their interest on someone else and forget about me due to my injury, well those are the fakes and im glad to say that i am at peace with myself on conducting those type of friendships to an end...positive personals are what i need around me and i am thankful to say you are one of them....once again Thank You very much for your prayers and hopefully you will be watching me play next year =)
